In the early 1800s at heart of three sister's mountain, a copper mine shaft produced over $31,000 annually to north Georgia's economy. Gold was discovered in 1828. This moment in time put Dahlonega on the map and made the city a household name. But copper was still the most abundant, and useful mineral ever mined out of Dahlonega. Just a few miles from this mine shaft is a service company that mimics its namesake. Although not as famous as the big boys, Coppermines Pest Control is certainly becoming north Georgia's premier service company of choice.
Services
James Cooper founded Cooper Pest Control in 1993. Next, after operating the company for ten years it had grown to a quarter of a million dollar company. In the winter of 2004, Len Land, Branch Manager of Arrow Exterminators left his previous employer and approached Mr. Cooper with an offer to purchase his company.
It's all about Customer service. Pre-treats, Pest Control, Termite Control; these are just a few of the services Coppermines Pest Control offers. They also offer services such as yard treatments for fire ants and fleas and wildlife control as well. North Georgia Wildlife is a division of Coppermines Pest Control that traps nuisance wildlife animals as well as providing exclusion work on homes.
Our mothers and fathers had indoor pest control service every month. The primary pest concerns were German roaches, fleas, and mice. Due to lifestyle changes and changes in the retail and veterinarian industries, these pests are not the problem that they used to be. And with dual income families, indoor pest control is more of a nuisance than the pest we attempt to control.
Metro Atlanta was named the second worst city in the nation for subterranean termites. Termites cause more damage to American's home each year than all storms and fires combined. Because of their elusive nature, Termites often go undetected to the untrained eye until structural damage has occurred.

This business was at one time known to be top notch. Over the past several years, we have experienced the decline of their customer service, response, and overall professionalism. After paying a full year in advance (so we could receive the 10% discount), we have been charged the full amount two years running. This is eventually corrected, but only after lengthy phone calls with less than professional employees. Recieving poor service is always a hassle, but experiencing the decline of a local business that you had come to trust makes it even worse. We suggest that you take the time to find an alternative to this company. Best of luck!

THE absolute WORST customer service, WORST communication I've experienced as a consumer. Fewer times have I felt as devalued as a customer. I will tell everyone I know to go elsewhere. As a Realtor, I have referred numerous clients and potential clients to them because I prefer to support the businesses in my community. Never again will I refer to them.

I will make sure my clients and potential clients do not go there as I expect my clients to be treated as a valued customer. RESPONSE TO OWNER: As I mentioned in my previous review, clearly COMMUNICATION is lacking on your part. READ my comments. I didn't say your company didn't complete the service. Again, READ.it's all about customer service, valuing the customer and COMMUNICATION. Had this been my client who left this review, as the owner, I would have picked up the phone and resolved the issue. Clearly your response serves to confirm my original review. If you'd like to discuss further, feel free to call me. You do have my #. Regards, Rhonda Burton

Great company. When I was in the process of buying a home, they came out and gave a free termite inspection. Then, this year I had them come back out to recheck for termites and treat my home for spiders, scorpions, and ants. Everyone I've encountered with this company has been so friendly and nice to work with. I highly recommend them!

I cannot say enough good things about Coppermines Pest Control. They were amazing when we found out that our previous renters had left us a present of a HORRIFYING flea infestation. We tried bug bombs from Wal-Mart to rid ourselves of the pests, but soon realized that truly nothing was going to work without a professional on the job. When I called Coppermine's they had THE BEST price for the job.

I know they had the most reasonable price because after calling around I spoke to four different companies and they were by far the best. They handled all of my questions and my fears and our service was second to none. They even came out again to respray after our floors were put in to insure that we weren't going to have a second infestation. If you have any type of pest problem, they should be your first call.

I wish I had called them first without spending $100 on DIY products that DIDN'T work. Thank you so much for helping us out with such a frustrating and disgusting problem. Y'all are seriously worth writing a glowing review for! :
