Killo Exterminating CO - Charlotte About Us The Killo Exterminating Co., . is a 3 rd generation locally owned family business that was began in Charlotte in 1948 by Arnold Killough driving the family car. Killo was originally began in 1939 in Raleigh by Walter Killough. Ralph Killough, Arnold's son, returned to the family business after gaining his Ph.D. degree in entomology study of insects from Purdue University and was director until 1998 when he turned the daily operations over to his son-in-law Brian Windham.

This places deserves to have Zero stars. The white lady that spoke to me today who claims be the owner of this establishment spoke to me in a very disgusting manner. Rather than owning upto their mistake she tried to defend herself and blaming me. Just because I'm not a white person don't treat me in that way as if I'm your slave. The lady even tried to accused me by calling me with several names like I'm hard to understand blah blah etc.

I'm going to take this case with Better Business Bureau since the technician Kevin did a poor job and I still see some roaches. I have proof of everything so kindly aceept your fault and try to make it up for it you don't have to attack me personally using some vulgar language.

Hard to find more honest and straight forward people these days. We asked for resolution to our wasp problem and they said to wait for colder weather, and after 1 cold night they were gone. Saved us $$, would use them anytime!

First time using Killo. Santiago showed up early, was super professional, knowledgeable, courteous and loved my 120lb dog. Santiago is very passionate about his job and was very informative! We felt super comfortable having him in our home! Great service! We'll be customers for many years to come. I told him next visit, I'd have BBQ ready for him.

We had a Wasp infestation in our house. They could not send anyone immediately but the lady who answered the phone explained the problem to me and put us all at ease. I will use this company again. They were very knowledgeable and helpful! Service: Hornet & wasp extermination

I used kilo for a about 1 year not really thinking about the lack of service, as I was focused on a bug problem within the home, in which I paid quarterly for and even though the bugs still found away to get in, they did not stay alive long. But when it came to mice control and field rats, we were asked " do you want some sticky boards to put down to trap the rat/mice with?" I thought that was what my service tech was suppose to do and what I was paying the technician for. I should have thought better of this on the very first visit when I asked him to check in the attic, and he asked me if I had a ladder to access it.

Family owned Company since the 30's. I, worked for Killo back in the late 80's to the early 90's. They took care of my Family while I was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm.

I learned of Killo way back in the mid-80s when I was house sitting for my Grandmom. She had a contract w/ them. So, fast forward to a couple of years ago. Our home was being invaded by a ton of little ants in the kitchen and master bath. Since Killo has been treating the outside of out home. NO ANTS!

Santiago did an exceptional job, was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We recently discovered we had a mouse in the house. My family has trusted Killo for over 44 years, and I did not know they treated for mice. Santiago shared his knowledge and pointed out possible points of entry so my husband could seal off those areas. He also did a perimeter spray for insects, especially fleas since we have cats. I highly recommend Killo and would not trust anyone else for all of our pest and insect control!

Super professional, honest, reliable and trustworthy. They have sprayed for ground bees at my house that I had attempted to get rid of for many seasons - now gone after 1 application. They also do work for my clients' homes to prevent carpenter bees from chewing holes in custom cedar doors and trim work in the spring time. I know the owner to be as honest as they come. I've seen him pay for termite repairs on contracts he had from 25-30 years ago and they don't avoid phone calls. Really enjoy working with Killo.

Great service and results for annual termite inspections. I have used them for extermination as well. I had some issues with recurring bugs after the initial treatment but Killo retreated the house for %50 of the original fee. As always, the tech was friendly, courteous and professional.

This is the 3rd company I called about termite treatment. It was the only company who wanted to charge us for an inspection, even after I told them that the other two companies did the inspection for free, and they confirmed we have termites. So basically, they wanted to charge us for writing up a quote proposal. I'm all for paying for service, but a company who charges somebody before they did any work, just to write a standard basic quote it's dishonest.

I hate to do this after such a great first experience, but after hiring Killo for quarterly visits (which got me a discount), my usual guy left, and the customer service has gone downhill. When the new guy took over, he totally forgot my first visit. He was supposed to be here between 8:00 and 8:30, and when I finally called, the receptionist informed me they were all in a staff meeting, and he'd have to reschedule; I got a pretty snooty apology from her.

Good thing I took off work for that. Grrrr. To his credit, he did show up with a $5 Starbucks gift card as an apology. A few visits have passed, and now we're on visit 4. here I sit again at 8:40 waiting for my 8:00-8:30 window after taking off work. I called the office, and they said he'd be here in about 5 minutes. When he did show up, he said the office sent him to the wrong place and apologized profusely. If you have all the time in the world to sit around waiting and don't mind chaos, hire Killo.
