The Sentry Termite & Pest Control team's roots can be found as far back as the 1940's with my Grandfather, Lester Lewis, gaining knowledge and experience working for a large California exterminating company. In 1950, Lester created Lewis Extermination Company and successfully treated pests in the San Fernando Valley, securing life-long customers along the way.

I wish I could be among the many folks who've left positive reviews for this company, but we unfortunately could not be more disappointed by our service from Sentry. When we saw several lines of ants right outside our property, we decided to proactively address the problem before the weather got too hot and drove the ants inside our home. We called Sentry to come out and resolve our ant issue, and they seemed to.
They reminded us that we could have them come back within their 30 day guarantee/warranty period to spray once more since we had more ant colonies on our property than normal. When we called to schedule them to come back out within the guarantee/warranty period, they told us that another technician wouldn't be out in our area until the 30th day. We figured that should be fine and scheduled them for 7/22. Well, turns out the ant problem wasn't resolved and during the high heat this week, the ants made their way into our kitchen from several entry points.
We called Sentry right away to ask that a technician come out as soon as possible since it was an emergency, and they just told us the same thing - that a technician wasn't going to be out in our area until 7/22 even though their website specifically says about their 30-day guarantee/warranty "What we CAN PROMISE you are free services if a problem arises.
Just call us anytime and we'll be out by the *next business day*." How were we supposed to wait until 7/22 to resolve an indoor ant problem that we had originally called Sentry to prevent? We ended up calling a different pest control company to come out - and paying twice - to take care of the issue. I'd avoid this company if I were you, as they seem to be OK with causing problems for their clients and then expecting us to wait for them to conveniently be in the area before they could be bothered to fix them.

I recently had Sentry termite tent my home as I could see damage that these little buggers had caused. The fumigation went well, no broken roof tiles or any other damage. Noting that our deck is 30+ years old it was suffering in a few areas from the original termite damage and dry rot. The Sentry team showed up on time and did a meticulous job of replacing some of the support joists.
These are very difficult to get to but Rudy and Ricky surgically removed the damaged areas and replaced them with new lumber and even painted the lumber with paint I supplied. You literally cannot tell where they have been! I am so pleased with their work and service.

This is an update on work that was recently done on a recent home purchase. The home we purchased was tented prior to occupancy and subsequently a part of the facia had dislodged posing a significant hazard since had it fallen it would easily kill if it landed on your head. Despite the significant rain that was happening John arranged for his service man to come out and repair it and it was done so well you can't even tell where it was repaired.

I was in a bit of a rush to complete an inspection for a loan and Sentry was able to come out to the house quickly and complete my inspection. I ended up having a door that needed replacing and even though I did the work myself, they didn't charge for a reinspection. I found Rick knowledgeable and he gave me lots of tips about things to watch for around the property. Thanks guys!

We've had Sentry out twice now. Once for ants and recently for a termite inspection when we saw a few near the house. They are professional, knowledgable and explain things as they inspect or treat. They're also honest and don't try to sell treatments that aren't necessary. Simi Valley Sentry will continue to be our first call when we need help or even just an inspection!

For routine pest control I've tried two other exterminators in the area, and they don't even begin to compare to the service I get at Sentry. Chris is the technician who has been doing our Pest Control, and he is excellent. He calls before coming over to make sure I'm home. He always has time to discuss what he's doing and why. He's very friendly and patient with my two little annoying dogs.
I couldn't be happier. I always feel like I'm getting my money's worth, and I never feel like I'm just another ticket to fill. I have recommended Sentry to others and they've been just as satisfied. They definitely get five stars.

Have used Sentry for multiple jobs over the last decade. They first came out when we found a bed bug after a trip to New York. Other services would not come out right away AND told us they had to treat the entire house for lots of $$$. I had a bite AND I found the actual bed bug the next AM. Would you want to wait? Sentry came out THAT AFTERNOON, looked at the bug and the bed and said, "I think you're in luck, it's a single bug, stuffed with eggs.
Another day and you would have had problems, but I think we can just watch. No charge." And that was it. No chemicals, no $$$ and no bed bugs. Since then, they have treated termites at a rental, fixed an overhang that had dry rot, and a few other jobs. They are honest, responsive, knowledgeable and reasonable.

We had a problem with ants through out our house and was referred to Sentry and we received prompt service, the technician was very courteous and professional and within 24hrs we had not seen any further ant issues and it has been over a week and still no issues. Overall thus far were very satisfied with the service and no ant problems currently

Had hired a competitor. Paid $$$ to competitor. Competitor was hired to stop the pest problem in our attic. They did not follow thru with their promise. We demanded and received a partial refund, which was paid. I hired Sentry. I paid Sentry. Sentry was professional throughout. They have fulfilled their promises so far and have been very punctual and responsible. Their initial visit was very thorough and that was before I paid or signed anything. I would use them again.
