Tony was incredible. He was out at my house less than 24 hours after I initially called. I was only free from 12-1pm and he showed up right on time and was quick and efficient. He explained everything in great detail and was incredibly professional and friendly. Tony had an incredible attitude and even got on the floor with a dustpan to clean up some debris that flew in from the attic. I was so impressed on all levels. I can't recommend his services enough!

Wow! The BEST customer service around town! Mr. Cantu truly runs an outstanding business. I left a message for him and received an immediate call back to book an appointment. The inspection was quick and to the point. Mr. Cantu and his work partner both wore masks while doing our inspection, which I really appreciated. Do yourself a favor and book your appointment today! You will NOT be disappointed!

This review is about my recent experience involving Tri County and a vacant house I put on the market. As a disclaimer it has nothing to do with the tenting or repair work done. I am not qualified to judge either but it is my desperate hope that they conducted themselves in a much more professional manner than the aftermath I stumbled upon. My husband and I arrived at the house a few days after the work was done.

We changed the locks shortly after listing so the only people who had access to the house (in addition to us) were the realtors and Tri County. Shortly after walking through the door I heard water running. The toilet in the front bathroom was running (we called city of Camarillo and discovered our water bill was now over $200.00) but it gets worse!

There was human waste and quite a bit of tp in the bowl. If that wasn't bad enough whomever used it didn't even bother replacing the empty tube with a new roll, they grabbed the new roll we brought over for the new buyers (house was in escrow) used it and dropped it on the ground. The back bathroom toilet bowl water had a yellow tinge to it (guessing they didn't even bother to flush) and used paper towels laying on top (not inside) the trash can located right next to the toilet.

But wait! There's more! We walk out front and that's when we notice small chunks of wood all around the front, sides and back of the house, multiple tire tracks on the driveway (we didn't even park on the driveway for that reason), some broken rose bush branches and used paper towels in the front yard. They filled up the green trash can (we wouldn't have minded if they just asked first) and left sawdust and a small amount of trash in the garage as well.

Also I can say with relative certainty that they grabbed food from our neighborhood Wendy's at least once, I found some wrappers towards the backyard fence. The owner (Reuben) showed up after we called Renee and told her what we discovered. I showed him the pictures I took of the inside and pointed out the mess outside, he casually told me he would get someone out there to clean up the wood and made mention that the driveway can be easily cleaned off, as if I was out of line for pointing it out.

He never once seemed to care and I get it, you don't want to accept responsibility for the bathroom(s) debacle but would it have killed him to at least apologize for the stuff outside that was totally obvious? I was polite the whole time and though I never demanded it I was hoping the company would have at least given us a $100.00 credit towards our water bill as a polite gesture, nope. The biggest bummer for them was we were considering hiring them for our house and would have told lots of people how happy we were with them, also nope.

Scam. 100% scam. We bought an older house and found rodent droppings in the attic and heating cabinet. Our real estate agent recommended this company and we were quoted $450 to take care of cleaning everything up and sealing any openings to prevent further infestation. Seemed high, but we trusted our agent's recommendation. We had a hard time getting Tri County Pest Control to even schedule a time to come out, but eventually they came out.

When the employee arrived (apparently the owner's son), the first thing he did was ask for payment. My wife had to go to class so he had to be left unsupervised. Again, we trusted our agent's recommendation and assumed he would do the work promised. When my wife got home about an hour later, she found the employee was gone, and nothing was cleaned up. Rodent droppings were left untouched, a dead mouse was still in the heating cabinet, yet an invoice left behind claimed everything was cleaned up.

The next day, the check was cashed. We left a voicemail for the owner, Ruben Cortez, to tell him about the incomplete work and to try to schedule a follow up - we just wanted the work we paid for to be completed. He did not get back to us until we informed our real estate agent that this company did not perform services promised and was also not responding to our voicemail.

Once my wife could get on the phone with him, the owner started yelling at my wife about how we were being difficult (we weren't), how the heating cabinet was never discussed up front (it was), and how he doesn't need our business, and he has plenty of happy customers. When it became clear the owner did not want to resolve this, my wife asked for a refund, and after the owner yelled some more, he hung up on my wife.

He followed up by sending a letter that literally made up stuff to make us look unreasonable, (as if putting his alternate reality in writing somehow made it true), and provided a $100 refund with no information as to how or why he calculated that amount. We're still pursuing a full refund. We're sad this became so complicated - we've had no issues with any other contractors we've worked with because unlike Ruben and his son, they have all been honest people. This could have been simply prevented by the company doing the work promised instead of covering up the situation with excuses and lies.

PROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS! I recently purchased a home. Tri-County Pest Control came out and went over with me everything that needed to be replaced/repaired. However what they said they would do and what they actually did were two completely different things. They are leaving over 125 feet of termite infested fascia board. They said they do not probe or climb onto the roof to do their inspections.

Apparently they do not even open their eyes during the inspections as well. We have had to take the issue to Structural Pest Control Board and they are forced to come back out to fix a couple of the items, however they have been in the game long enough to know how to cheat the innocent. Using wording like, "Exposed by home owner. (Which is a lie.) " Not visible from the ground during original inspection." So it covers their back side in a court of law.

They know the game and they know how to play it. So if you are looking for a termite company that does what they say, stay away from Tri County. Hugo was the inspector for Tri-County and he did a terrible job. Please look at the pictures of what they left behind and what they feel is "Exposed by home owner." The picture say it all. Nothing exposed besides their own lies.

This company knows how to do it. I've used three different pest companies in the last 3 years. The first two couldn't be bothered to come when scheduled, missed treatments frequently, continued to come even AFTER we cancelled service with them, and were generally a nightmare. Tri-County hasn't missed a beat and we've been using them for a year now. They're so spot on with the treatments that when we started to have a problem with termites, I was on the phone with them immediately.

The bid that I got was a few hundred under what I thought it would be given the extent of the damage. Options were explained, benefits and drawbacks of each, and a 3 year warranty was attached to the entire thing. On top of that, they said I'd have someone calling to schedule follow up service annually (for free) to ensure that the job they did was effective. I believe the owner of the company is Ruben. 5 stars across the board for his industry experience and prompt service. I would highly recommend this company.
