Termite Control
Colonial Exterminating offers complete termite control using Termidor SC termiticide. Our licensed technicians perform perimeter liquid injection treatments and trenching to eliminate colonies. We identify termite activity through comprehensive inspections, address moisture concerns that attract pests, and provide repairs for existing structural damage. Maintenance plans include annual inspections to prevent re-infestation, with free checkups if termite activity is suspected between scheduled visits.
Pest Extermination
We provide targeted pest control for common household invaders including ants, roaches, and rodents. Our quarterly maintenance programs include foundation granular treatments, problem area inspections, and guaranteed re-treatments. Technicians identify entry points and implement exclusion strategies while using environmentally responsible methods. Commercial services accommodate warehouses, offices, and healthcare facilities while maintaining safety standards for businesses and their customers.
Crawl Space Insulation
Our crawl space insulation services remove contaminated materials and install R-19 thermal protection. We address moisture issues by sealing foundation vents, installing poly vapor barriers, and using dehumidifiers. This prevents wood-destroying fungus growth while improving energy efficiency. Technicians identify and repair moisture sources that could compromise structural integrity or attract pests like termites and rodents through comprehensive space assessments.
Structural Repairs
As a licensed Class B contractor, we perform structural repairs for damage caused by moisture and pests. Services include sill plate replacement, floor joist restoration, and subfloor reconstruction. Our carpenters navigate crawl space challenges to address wood decay while maintaining existing utility systems. We prepare homes for real estate transactions through repairs identified during termite/moisture inspections, ensuring structural integrity and market readiness.
Moisture Correction
Our moisture correction specialists address humidity issues in coastal Virginia's climate. We identify moisture sources through visual inspections and use fungicide treatments to arrest active wood decay. Solutions include vapor barrier installation with 100% ground coverage, vent sealing, and dehumidifier placement. These measures prevent mold growth, protect structural elements, and improve indoor air quality by stopping contaminated crawl space air from circulating into living areas.

I have been with Colonial for over 20 years. I won't say they are 100% perfect, but they have ALWAYS treated me fair and right! I had a mouse problem once and they responded better than I expected. I get a recurring ant problem but I live on land that was a forest mixed with swamp. Ants are not the worst problem I could have considering that. If the ants come, Colonial gets me treated in a very timely manner.
Usually when we get rain after a dry spell so I'm sure when I have ants coming in, there are several people with the same issue! I'm not much for "Brand Loyalty" so if I've stayed with someone for 20+ years, you know they are doing something right! Note: I only tagged the services they have done for me.

They replaced the moisture barrier under the house, built a new access door for the crawl, and eliminated access into my attic. James and Jay did an excellent and conscientious job on all of these services. I really appreciated their professional service and conscientious approach to the work. They also got me a price for some additional work, and I hope they are assigned to do it! This includes a treatment under the house for insects, and replacement vents for the crawl.
