We are one of the oldest and most experienced pest control companies in Charlotte. For four generations, our family-owned business has seen many changes in pest control, and we have been part of the effort to make pest control methods safer, greener, and more effective. Our company was founded in 1939 by David Dodd, Sr., a retired Methodist Minister. Rev. Dodd became involved in the pest control business by helping his fellow man. Times had been hard in the 1930's and a man from up north was passing through looking for work to feed his family. He called upon Rev. Dodd for help and since he had been trained in pest control, Rev. Dodd suggested they open a pest control business- thus, Carolina Chemical and Pest Control was born.In 1951, David Dodd, Jr. assumed full time management responsibilities of the company, moving the company headquarters to Monroe, NC, where the company is still located today and remains Union County's leading pest control service.
